Common questions
Where are my notebooks stored?
Locally on your iPad, inside the app. They don't appear as files in the Files app.
Can I back up a notebook?
Yes. Use Export Notebook from the notebook's menu in the Library. It saves the complete notebook as a file, wherever you choose, such as iCloud Drive or Dropbox.
How do I move a notebook to another iPad?
Export the notebook, save the file somewhere the other iPad can reach (such as iCloud Drive or Dropbox), then use Import in the Library on the other iPad.
Import says "Couldn't import that notebook package."
The file may be damaged, or it may have been saved by a newer version of Handbound. Update Handbound from the App Store and try again.
My finger draws on the page when I don't want it to.
Tap More in the toolbar and choose Apple Pencil Only. Then only the Pencil draws, and one finger turns the page.
Can I undo Clear Page, or get back a deleted page or notebook?
No. Clear Page, Delete Page, and Delete Notebook can't be undone, which is why the app asks you to confirm first. If you want to set a notebook aside without losing it, use Archive Notebook instead.
Can I print or share a page?
Yes. Tap More, then Print / Export. Print uses the iPad's standard printing, and Share sends the current page as a PDF. To share a whole notebook, use Export Notebook.
